If you’ve been drinking Gatorade to replenish and recover you may want to rethink your strategy. Gatorade is loaded with chemicals and additives and there is an alternative that is a much healthier and even tastier in my opinion: Coconut water!

Coconut water has been shown to be as effective as commercial sports drinks and even has some extra health benefits I’ll share below.

  • Has 12 times the potassium as Gatorade and most other sports drinks
  • Contains other naturally occurring electrolytes and minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, and calcium
  • Doesn’t contain any added chemicals or sugars
  • Contains cytokinins which is an anti-aging compound
